It’s been three months since my last newsletter! It wasn’t my intention to leave it that long but maybe a quarterly update might be an idea?
So, what’s been happening? Well, I sold four paintings during my first two Penzance exhibitions, which is an encouraging start and I have eleven more out in the wild at various venues at the moment.
A big thanks to Dale, owner of the very marvelous Four cocktail bar here in Penzance, who has kindly agreed to house my large piece, My Door Is Always Open. It will be available to buy via the bar.
Also, thank you to Raquel at the Sprout Cafe for showing nine of my paintings for the next month.
I also have a “construction” called the Good Ship Bricolage hanging in the Redwing Gallery in Penzance.
In other news, I have created a new Instagram account, Steve Wilde Studio, where I will posting all of my deconstructed/reconstructed cube work. What is this you ask? It’s an idea I had while sitting in the Jupiter Gallery back in May that has been taking up most of my time since then. It is to basically use a reconfigured cube or cubes as the basis for all future compositions
I'm still doing R&D on this project, with an abundance of ideas. Enough for many potential collections. I may need to have a bit of an overhaul of my website to accommodate things too. I may eventually just focus on the new Instagram account and try to get followers to migrate away from Steve Wilde Prints, I'm considering discontinuing the prints so it'll be a bit of misnomer.
That’s enough from me. I’ll try not to leave it so long next time!
